Tales Told By An Idiot
This is Page the Village Idiot's first album! It features PTVI's goofy vocal stylings, zany guitar and not so fresh beats. Living in suburbia Arizona is like suburbia anywhere else. I don't care where you live, you got tweeker idiots, strippers, crooked cops, snobs, posers and hopefully somebody to point them all out to you. If you don't have these things where you live, please please please come to sunny metropolitan Phoenix (or get this CD and save yourself a bad trip). Please check out Page the Village Idiot's 2nd CD, It's no Fun Being One Dimensional. Wikipedia entry: Page the Village Idiot is a Phoenix, Arizona singer-songwriter, satirist and guitar comic. He has released two studio albums and one live compilation. His music industry-critical pop music parody, "This Song Sucks," was nominated by Red Peters for Song of the Year 2007. PTVI's "Dead Rockstars" has been featured on the Dr. Demento Show. Notable for his satire of Phoenix-area political and social issues such as methamphetamine addiction, racism, consumerism and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, PTVI also targets pop culture personalities (Nancy Kerrigan), international figures (Osama Bin Laden) and various subcultural phenomena (teenage plastic surgery). A one-man act, Page the Village Idiot uses guitar, ukulele, a Roland MC-303 and bass pedals to parody diverse musical styles, including rockabilly, blues, electronica, industrial, punk, rap, metal, pop and folk.
