Puttin' It Down
Paw Ray brings Hip-Hop back to the people. The fans can reach out and touch these MC's 'cause they rock at clubs and bars. Now that's Hip-Hop. Paw Ray consists of Bolo (who wants to know if the world is ready for a Filipino MC) and Rhetoric, two MC's makin' it happen independent style. That's right, no big record contract, no million $ videos, just raw emceeing with bangin' tracks. Pleezbaleevit! Paw Ray has been doin' it big since 1997 when they formed in Northern Cali. Less that a full year after forming Paw Ray, Bolo and Rhet, found themselves on MTV competing on 'The Cut', a talent competition show hosted by Left Eye from TLC. They made it to the semi-finals where they formed their opinion on Wanya's bitch ass. Paw Ray's first taste of commercial success soon followed with an appearance on Resurrection Record's compilation 'The Resurrection of Hip-Hop' in 1999. Now it's time for Paw Ray to shine on their own and the new album 'Puttin' It Down' is destined to be a classic. This is Paw Ray's first full-length release and it stamps the earth with the signature sound that has Paw Ray destined for greatness. The beats thump, the rhymes are on point, and even the cameos hit hard. What more can be offered? 'Puttin' It Down' has received great reviews from the press and the first single has already reached the charts on both the radio and club circuits in Northern Cali and Hawaii. This release promises that fans, who already know about Paw Ray, will be joined by new fans who are just now hearing what all the hype has been about.
