Amazing Headless Boy
The Amazing Headless Boy is the journey through the many musical tastes of Pete List that range from heavy Primus-like bass driven songs to smooth hypnotic grooves and layered harmonies and memorable melodies. While driven by a strong groove, all the songs have a precarious edge that threaten to come apart at any moment. The Amazing Headless Boy is a schizophrenic mix of styles that range from the driving Primus-like "That Little Thing", to the Math Rockish "Everytime", to the smooth hypnotic fretless bass groove of "The Innovator", to "Creep" a ska-influenced song about the crazy downstairs neighbor, to the haunting cry in your beer song "Time of My Life" that sounds like a cross between Tom Waits and Radiohead. And the cartoonish barbershop quartet tune "Thanks" wraps up the party.
