Broken Man: Trapped in Time
Born at a tender age, I played Jailhouse Rock at age 7, and then suffered for 5 long years on the violin, like the little boy on the Thematic Apperception Test. Danny and the Juniors (Schoolboy Romance), Bobby Darin (Dream Lover), Paul Anka (Lonely Boy), Dion Dimucci (Windows), The Chiffons (He\'s So Fine), Paul McCartney (Yesterday), Peter,Paul, and Mary (Early in the Morn), Bob Dylan (Gates of Eden), Donovan (Celeste), Paul Simon (Song for the Asking), James Taylor (Fire & Rain), Tom Rush (Child\'s Song), and Jackson Browne (Adam\'s Song) were a few of my early heroes. The thrill for me, aside from playing live for an audience, resides in the studio, where, with the engineer\'s skills, I can have full control over every sound, every instrument, and every vocal harmony. The ultimate worth of a good tune, however, is exemplified by the melody, itself, with lyrics flowing alongside, and how both lyrics, melody, and accompaniment weave in tandem, to emotionally touch the listener's body, mind, heart, and soul.
