Plum Crazy is an expressive and original group of five experienced and dedicated musicians from Northern California. They embody and embrace the subtle discipline of the perfect pop song, the far reaches of group interplay and improvisation, and all points in between. The origins of the band go back to the fall of 2001 when guitarist/vocalist Josh Yenne and drummer Skip Urmson first jammed together with the loose but ambitious idea of starting a full band that had the will and the means to express their varied musical concepts. Vocalist Shawna Anderson has also been involved from the very beginning, having forged a musical friendship with Josh over the preceding year. The band remained little more than a grand idea and a book of inspired original songs for several years until bassist Greg Garvey joined the group. Keyboardist Dan Zemelman was recruited soon after amid a wash of newfound enthusiasm and the lineup was complete. Anxious to develop their potent musical chemistry in front of a live audience as much as possible, Plum Crazy has been playing shows/converting followers all over Northern California since early 2004.
