Product Notes

Who are they: THE POINTE What kind of music: Rock, Blues, Country, Alternative and Originals. Cover songs from Elvis Presley to Beatles, Lynrd Skynrd to Bon Jovi & Fuel to Garth Brooks. THE POINTE BAND BIO Jason Kelly - Electric, Acoustic & 12-String Guitars: Jason provides a fresh writing and playing style that lends an eclectic sound to the music. He has a strong on-stage presence that definitely brings out the feeling of the songs. Chris Bloomer - Electric, Acoustic Guitars & More: Chris has a unique playing & writing style that is a good compliment to any musician. With the use of his many effects pedals Chris' musical soul definitely bleeds through in everything he does. Rich Mazzetti - Bass, Electric, Acoustic Guitars & Vocals: Rich plays bass with an aggressive but subtle feel that definitely provides punch and groove to his writing & playing style. To this day he still amazes us based on the fact that he's only played bass for a short time. (This boy is a natural). David Seretti - Percussion, Lead & Backup Vocals: Dave is a solid hard hitting drummer providing the right amount of punch to the aggressive songs and the right amount of flare to the slow songs. Vocally Dave brings the soul of the songs written by The Pointe out to the forefront with a pleasing style to the ear. THE POINTE The members of The Pointe met around 7 years ago. Chris & Dave met through acquaintances at work to start a project called RainMaker. From RainMaker they formed another band called FAIRGAME. This is where Rich & Jason came in. Rich was recruited into the band as a 1st time bass player and amazed everyone. Jason was recruited into FairGame by Dave whom he met through work. After a couple of years together the current lineup decided to take things a step further and form another band which is known today as THE POINTE. They remain driven by their own common bond of playing and writing music. The original songs produced by this band are a culmination of years of musical ideas and influences. The impetus in forming this project was writing, and recording their own original songs, and that's how they got to THE POINTE. CD: THE MORNING AFTER The Morning After is appropriately titled. It is a metaphor for all of The Pointe's ideas finally put down on disc. Everything leading up to this CD was like an all-nighter where they kept flowing like tap counts from a keg of good beer. The result was the completion of a dream all the members had.... to put their own music down in the studio. Waves: This is an up-front revelation of friends not agreeing on anything. Like being at the beach when you take time to stop talking and just watch the ocean. Be Who You Are: An idea of 'perception not being reality'..... how many people try to live up to other's 'ideals'.... The title says it all. Gone Away: How many of us have lost loved ones unexpectedly, and realized they had so many things to say to them? The phone call that 'I'll make tomorrow'.... or the quick trip over to say hi? Do it now, 'cause your family and friends are just too precious. Sweet: A story about a guy who has just gotten out of a long unhappy relationship and found true love. Lost and alone he unexpectedly finds true love. Watching You: This is definitely a metaphor-induced song. Realizing the love of your life & how they have saved you from yourself. Smoke: This is a story of someone who lived close to the World Trade Center and dealing with all of the emotions of the tragedy. My Way Back Home: Feeling lost and out of sorts? Imagine that feeling of driving home from a long business trip, or the feeling of finding yourself in the right place.... a place that feels like home. Did You Know?: The human race hungers for human compassion. The heartaches that accompany those of us who go through the streets of life alone. This song represents how someone can be so much in love with another; yet acknowledging and facing the fact that everything could come crashing down at a moment's notice. Liver Lips: A true life experience of an unattractive girl having a mad crush on a better looking guy. You'll have fun with this one. Roscoe: This song was written with the intention of being a back-porch sing-along type song. Lyrically it's contents were derived from a take off of an old cliché.
