Description
In 1755, decorated if impoverished Danish soldier Ludvig von Kahlen (Mads Mikkelsen) set out to cultivate the royal land at the nation's northernmost Jutland Heath, and see himself rewarded with title and wealth. However, local magistrate Schinkel (Simon Bennebjerg) was determined that he should fail-and a fateful war of wills plays out in this sweeping and stirring historical drama.
