Message to the World
Recorded over a period of one and a half years, totally guided by the Light of the Holy Spirit, this collection of works is the manifestation of a collaboration of people, music and the passionate love and respect for God and our Lord, Jesus Christ. The title of the CD, Message To The World, refers to the message of peace and hope contained in the teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in reference to the past and current tensions and conflict in the Middle East. The album as a whole is an affirmation of hope, faith and the realization of how God and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ can make a positive contribution in the lives of people everywhere. Providence, nfp exists as an Illinois not for profit organization. Income for the organization is derived from CD sales, band merchandising, performance honorariums and donations. All net proceeds of the corporation (i.e. profits) will be donated to benefit local children who are in need of financial and material assistance. With the help and support of The Aurora Foundation, Providence, nfp has launched 'The Providence Allegro Fund For Children'. This fund is dedicated to helping children in the southern Kane & Kendall Counties whose families have limited financial resources. Grants shall be available for medical expenses, eyeglasses, emergency dental care, clothing, food, blankets or other similar essential needs. Because the fund will be locally managed, aid to a child will arrive not in weeks or months after a child is referred, but in a matter of hours. By musical definition, the word Allegro means fast and we feel that no child should ever be caught in the tangle of bureaucracy during a time of need. Message To The World was recorded at Gumby-Dog Audio Studios, Yorkville, IL. All original material was written by Vern Spevak. All pre & post production and engineering was performed by Chris Plasch. Providence features Chris Plasch on vocals, guitar and keyboards, Vern Spevak on vocals, drums and percussion, Joel Brassfield on guitar, Chris Babb on bass, Denise Plasch on vocals, Jacci Lawrence on Vocals, Jamie Talley on vocals and Tony Jones as audio engineer.
