Puzza Crudo is a rock band formed in late 2005. Providing a sound that is all thier own, Puzza Crudo consists of four members: Tabu a female rock singer from New Orleans, Louisana is the vocalist of the group as well as a founding member of Puzza Crudo. Josh LeBlanc, another founding member of the group, from Lafayette, Louisiana is trained in classical and jazz guitar. Matt Ikner, from Houston, Texas, has formal training on jazz bass and joined Puzza Crudo in mid 2006. Sean Landry, a second generation musician, from Youngsville, Louisiana, is the drummer for the group as well as a founding member of the group. These four members, with their alternate styles of music and backgrounds of playing music, came together as a whole and wrote the original music for Puzza Crudo's latest release entitled '2 A.M.' Puzza Crudo entered the studio in mid 2006. They chose to record with an established producer/engineer Ivan Klisanin, who has produced renowned Zydeco artist Nathan Williams and the Zydeco Big Tymers as well as established Rock/Alternative acts such as: Victim Of Modern Age, Frigg A-Go-Go, Santeria, and The Object of The End of History. Puzza Crudo spent a little over a year, in multiple sessions, recording, mixing, and mastering their debut release '2 A.M.'. Their CD is comprised of twelve unique songs that range from a variation of influences. Between recording sessions Puzza Crudo continued to play shows around Louisiana promoting thier sound and the release of their CD. Puzza Crudo has played some notable shows since their founding around Louisiana. They performed and placed second at a Battle of The Bands sponsored by KKGB 'Pirate' 101.3 at Rikenjaks in Lake Charles, Louisiana in late 2006. They also performed in another Battle of The Bands that was sponsored by Toys Music Center, an all-ages venue, in Lafayette, Louisiana. They came out in second place during this event. As well as performing in sponsored events, Puzza Crudo has sponsored their own benefit. In March 2007, Puzza Crudo put together a benefit concert for the National Meningitis Association. This event, along with it's sponsors, raised over $2500 dollars for the benefit. Puzza Crudo hopes to continue such things through out the upcoming years. Puzza Crudo plans in the days to come to continue to promote the release of '2 A.M.' their debut CD. This will be achieved by continuing to play on a regular basis and promoting their CD throughout malls and college campuses as well as throughout the commutity via radio stations and local newspapers. Puzza Crudo in their efforts of promoting their CD, continue to write new and refreshing music on an everyday basis in an attempt to prepare for their next CD, and to keep their fans on their toes.
