The Quintessential Boys is a 4-piece jazz combo made up of very talented teen players. Their talent, sound and soul belie their age. They are the group to watch as they garner extraordinary attention every time they perform. Their debut CD, entitled Under Age, is a delicious range of jazz with hints of Caribbean, Soul, Latin and Funk. QUINCY BULLEN, Piano 15-year old pianist Quincy Bullen follows in the footsteps of his Juno Award winning musician father, Eddie Bullen. Quincy is the consummate performer. His talent and focus have earned him numerous music scholarships and awards. Quincy studies the performing arts in the Arts York Program at Unionville High School. ROB CHRISTIAN, Sax and Flute 17 year-old Rob Christian is an award winning jazz flute and sax player who has been performing extensively for over 5 years and has released several CD's. OMAR GITTENS, Drums Omar Gittens has been studying and performing as a drummer for the last 9 years. He has taken private drumming lessons in Barrie, Ontario with musical mentor Robin Munro and professional drummer Bruce Campbell, (who has studied under the direction of world-renowned drum teacher, Jim Blackley). LUCIAN GRAY, Bass Guitar Lucian Gray is a 16 year- old bass player who has been performing with and learning from many of the great Canadian musicians such as Alex Dean, Colleen Allen, Molly Johnson, Jim Vivian, Pat Collins, Aaron Davis, Geoff Young, Phil Dwyer, Frank Falco, Eddie Bullen, and his own father, trumpeter Charles Gray.
