I Hate the Devil But I Love His Style!
The Third Album From the Master of the Lo-Fi Universe. Take your time capsule with Jack Daniel's. Let yourself go, and follow Jones to the promise land... Reviews: Good singing I like how the vocals blend. The acoustic playing is good. I really like the water sound. Some people dislike music concrete and consider it pretentious, but they have no idea what they are talking about. Anyway, I thought this was gutsy music considering the current environment. I feel a bit inspired. I wish I had some suggestions, but I think you already know what you are doing. Reviewed by: formygoddess from Youngstown, Ohio Deeply honest The bass line accompanying the vocals throughout the verses is unique and actually works pretty. Actually, you manage to be fairly unique overall. Your lyrics are enchanting! More bands need to use metaphorical words like 'intoxicating' in their lyrics. The vocals are also damn ssive; it sounds like you mean what you're singing. Reviewed by: akyoung from Olympia, Washington Yes I Do I like the intro, the vocal samples all coincide with each other. This sounds like straight up lounge music. I hope this song was mixed like this on purpose, because I like it. I sounds like a perdormance caught on a camcorder. I'm not really a fan of the lyrics, but the vocal performance makes up for it. The guitar is nice, and the drummer is working the sticks. This is a unique song, I like it's edge. Good jazz elements, but I think the drums need to be more visible, and the entertaining, careless vocals less visible. A good distorted guitar, but it doesn't make enough variety. Perhaps a sudden break followed by a clapping choir could do the trick. There's not that much dynamics and I think the song has to be more powerful towards the end, both with instruments and the singing. Give the listener a blast and have yourselves a blast. But still okay music. Extra Credit: Drums, Originality. - andysunder København, No State, Denmark love the sample! The samples kick ass!! the swanky vibe is fun and fresh. That's a crazy guitar sound! Is that a synth or some kind of effects pedal? overall a fun song. - necromancer9 New Orleans, Louisiana Glimpses of the planet Zircon Intro: This has got to be the most divergent yet absolutely riviting with it's old time radio/TV sound snips. Melody: When the song starts you are grabbed by the vocal and instrumentation. Bass, banjo, drums, electric lead. But not played in their traditional forms. Vocals: The vocalist has processed his voice so it comes across as metalic as if sung through a can. The lyric and delivery is Morrison-esque in poetry and delivery. Extra points for ORIGINALITY Extra Credit: Programming, Originality. - exhippiedude Independence, Oregon Original and Eclectic piece. Reminiscent of Santana and Elvis (sounds quite a bit like Tortelvis from Dred Zepplin) - nice old-school reverb on the vocals. Vocals sound great, good vibrato and spoken-word accents. Interesting samples at the beginning and at the end (very nice touch)- very unexpected. The Production quality could use some tweaking, specifically the situating of the drums in the mix. The drums are really good and greatly add to the ambience of the song - so it would nice to hear them a bit more. Overall, very original, catchy, rustic and extremely creative. Nice work. I like the track and the microphone sound. Is this live? or just carefully constructed to have a purrfect live sound. Compelling to me, and i wouldn't have thought it would be. ^#^nice chords and great melody. Must hear more from this man, fresh out of his 50's time capsule.
