Born in the 'Flower City' aka Rochester,NY, Rhythm six climbed to the top of the modern salsa scene in 2008 with their debut album, Pa'lante y sin miedo. With standout tracks like 'Herminio,'and 'La Jibarita' this is one CD that should be in your collection. The Gonzalez Brothers decided to create a their own unique sound to all who enjoyed salsa music.The band's latest album, recording, melds Freddie and Jose Gonzalez's grandiose melodies with a visceral percussion section to create politically aware grooves.Rhythm Six's music performs a blend of traditional and contemporary Latin flavors, with original content. Band members Freddy (Guitarist-musical director), Jose (Bass-coro) Angel (Bongosero) and Eddie (Lead Vocals-percussion) along with Daniel Antonetti (Timbales) David Antonetti (Congas) Anthony LiButti (Sax) and Demitrius Bones (Trombone) make this CD's sound so melodic. Our traditional songs will have you reminiscing and singing along with us. We play a variety of music styles from Merengue,Bachata and pure Salsa. Our debut CD was reviewed by Rudy Mangual in the March 2008 Volume 18 edition. Our debut CD climbed to#20 on the Latinos Unidos top 50 Caliente picks! The track La Jibarita jumped up to number 4 on the Los Angeles KXLU 88.9 top 20.
