Ordinary Boy is an album of a different time. Structured around images of things gone by, it manages to capture the vivid recollections of Di Pietro's past. Blurring the lines between Brit-Pop production, Brazilian Music, and American culture, Ordinary Boy is one of those unique records which owns no category. It travels through the life of the artist posing questions that seem all too familiar to the rest of us. The melodies Di Pietro writes are comforting. The rhythms make us dance. And- just when you think the record has reached a zone, it seems to change. However, the result is so refreshing, you can't complain.
