Robert Matter has over thirty years experience as a singer/songwriter. He plays gutiar, saxophone, bass guitar and upright bass. His musical roots are grounded in the folk music of the 60's and 70's. He covers a catalog of songs by artists like Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, Tim Hardin, Kris Kristofferson and John Denver. He also performs many of his own compositions as well. His CD entitled 'Songman' is a representation of some of the finest songs written during the 60's and 70's. It has an even flow of what you might expect in a coffeehouse setting from a solid performer. He has a strong confident voice which is easy on the ears.
