SONGS AVAILABLE TO RECORDING ARTISTS Hello! Welcome to my CD Baby site for 'The Lightword Cafe.' My name is Roland Everett Fall, and I am a songwriter and performer. My songs are available to recording artists at the standard music industry rates. I welcome your solicitations and would very much like to hear from you if you are interested in any of the songs on this CD, 'The Farmer For The Lord' CD, or 'The Tragedy of 9-11' CD. The recordings of the songs on these CDs are simple and basic, yet reveal enough about each song so that an artist can envision enlarged arrangements. I would be glad to discuss possible arrangement ideas for any of the songs. ABOUT THE SONGS ON 'THE LIGHTWORD CAFE' The first song on the CD is 'Spending the Day with Jesus.' It reflects two important aspects of God that bless us abundantly: God is near and God is personal. The song emphasizes that Jesus revealed that God is among us in Spirit and truth. Jesus is a friend who will journey with us on the road of life. The song also declares that the best way to praise God is to live daily life with others in the love of Christ! As we go through life, it's good to see guiding beacons of light along the way. When there are storms and difficult seas, a guiding light showing the way to safe harbor can certainly be a welcome sight! The song 'Jesus I My Guiding Light' declares that God has revealed a way in Christ that can keep us in the deep water of truth and righteousness and away from the destructive rocks of indifference and self-centeredness. God's power is transforming and renewing. The song 'Holy Spirit Give Me Power' invites God to pour the blessing of God's life-changing Spirit upon us so that we grow and mature in God's will and way. The song entitled 'The Human Rainbow' declares that humanity is one! Yes, we are all unique, but we are all human, all one people: In Christ we are not divided, but rather see our true idenity rooted in unity and likeness. A rainbow only exists as the many unique colors are united and blended in one spectrun of color. Humanity exists as our many unique features are united in one spectrum of community and life! 'One Thing I Know' is a song that rejoices that we are not required to know everything before we can experience the profound truth of the Spirit: God is love! God's amazing, wonderful grace breaks through our failures and unites us with that which builds us up and draws us into the profound vision of God's unconditional love for all. God is spirit and, as the Scriptures declare, must be worshiped in Spirit and truth. The song, 'Give To God,' emphasizes that we can give God our worship and praise, our faith, hope, and love, and other spiritual gifts that reflect the truth and love of Christ. Dancing is a give and take affair! Sometimes we move in, other times we move out, but in all cases we are moving in harmony with our partner. 'Now I'm Dancing' employs the image of dancing to relate how love is both a give and take affair: we need to both give love and receive love. When that happens... Hey! Now I'm dancing! God's banquet table is an inclusive meal: everyone is welcome to pull up a chair and enjoy the feast! It is a table that is filled with abundant blessing and spiritual nourishment. The song 'Welcome To The Table' makes it clear that everyone is invited. What is the primary, overarching, most prominent character of God? It is love. 'God is Love' simply affirms that in spite of our shortcomings, God is love and God's love overcomes our inadequencies. There are times in life when things don't go right, when we make mistakes and choose wrongly. There are times even when we willfully disregard the way of Christ for some other path. Those times are unfortunate, but even when things are not the way we would want them, we can still praise God. In fact, when times are difficult it is especially important to give praise and thanks to God. God's loving Spirit is much more able to break through to us in the context of praise, and can then bless us with strength and help. The song 'Thank God We Can Praise the Lord' encourages us to give praise to God at all times. God's desire for us is wholeness and abundant life. To know the peace of Christ is to have a significant inner calmness so that a person can face the trials and conflicts of life from the perspective of a peaceful center. In this case, peace is, first of all, a faith-centered communion with God that allows us to draw from the strength of Christ during times of conflict and trial. The song "Peace To You" rejoices int he gift of inner peace and the resultant harmony it brings in the community. God's love is powerfully healing and abundantly refreshing. The title of this song, "Healing Hearts," is taken from a line in the song which proclaims that God is "Healing hearts with the power of love!" This song proclaims the ability of God to shower us with gracious love and reunite us with God's dynamic Holy Spirit that can bring us healing and strength. As a voice of love and good will, Jesus reached out to those in the community, and to us today through his Word, to reveal the loving, healing, and restoring nature of God. The song, "Healing Hearts," is a Christmas song that celebrates Jesus' words of life and Holy Spirit of healing and renewal. The concept behind this song, "Grace For Me And Grace For You," is simple: Grace is for everyone! God's grace is another way of saying that God forgives us when we reach out for renewal and regeneration. In spite of past choices to live in ways that are not Christ-like, God loves us anyhow and offers us the way in Christ, a gracious way of love, to find renewal and a new direction in life. Thankfully there's grace for me and you! The final song on this CD is, "Is It Christ? Is It Love?" suggests that before we undertake a certain action, or become involved in a particular practice, (even though it may be widely accepted), that we think of it in terms of it's consistency with the message and way of Christ, asking, "Is it Christ-like and loving to do this?" If it is, do it! If it's not, seek an alternative that is. THANKS FOR READING AND LISTENING I appreciate your interest, and invite you to respond to me with a critique of the songs on this CD. When troubles and trials come around you, And pain and confusion surround you, Stay in the light that turns away the night, By spending the day with the Lord! His blessings will shower upon us, He'll teach us, direct us, and guide us, So stay in his word, and share the truth you've heard, By spending the day with the Lord! Give thanks and give praise and glorify him, Lift up the name that saves us from sin, The power of his love will be upon the world, By spending the day with the Lord! Blessings and grace!
