Tragedy of 911
Songs Available To Recording Artists Hello! Welcome to my CD Baby site for \'The Tragedy of 9-11.\' My name is Roland Everett Fall, and I am a songwriter and performer. My songs are available to recording artists at the standard music industry rates. I welcome your solicitations and would very much like to hear from you if you are interested in any of the songs on this CD, \'The Lightword Cafe\' CD, or \'The Farmer for the Lord\' CD. The recordings of the songs on these CDs are simple and basic, yet reveal enough about each song so that an artist can envision enlarged arrangements. I would be glad to discuss possible arrangement ideas for any of the songs. About the songs on \'The Tragedy of 9-11\' The CD is entitled \'The Tradegy of 9-11\', which is also the name of the CD\'s first song. (track one) It tells the story of that 9-11 day. Although the song is long, so was that day, and there were so many tragic moments; I tried to capture the \'feel\' and \'shock\' of that surreal day. As 9-11 approaches each year, this song continues to move me and pull me back to that time. But it is not a song without hope: in the end the towers are standing again in our hearts and minds. \'Two Foundations\' addresses the basic nature of two types of foundational philosophies, or theologies, upon which a life can be built: love, or some other way! Obviously, I\'m a proponent of the foundation of love as the foundation that is strong and capable of withstanding the storms of life. The song \'Jesus the Christ\' proclaims the loving way in which God reaches out to us, offering love that builds us up and allows us to find renewal and strength. Everyone makes mistakes, that\'s a given. But engaging Christ puts us in touch with the primary character of God: love. We find a forgiving God that allows the future to proceed in solidarity with God\'s blesing and strength. Jesus once asked his disciples, \'Who do you say that I am?\' The disciple Peter replied, \'You are the Christ!\' This song emphasizes that as we engage \'the Christ\' we engage one who calls us to love as he loved, to be real sources of hope, faith and truth in the world. During a time of loss, this song, \'Holy Spirit, Comfort Me,\' brought me relief. God is a Comforter and did bless me, and blesses all who seek comfort and stregth. The Holy Spirit is not far and distant, but near and available. Few stories Jesus told have more power than the story of the Prodigal Son. Perhaps because we have all been prodigal sons and daughters at one time or the other. This song, \'The Gracious Father\' relates how God is always loving us, always ready to receive us, always ready to renew us. Set in a contemporary time, this song retells the story of the Prodigal Son and shares Jesus\' deep message of God\'s love for all. \'Fill My Heart with Your Love\' is a cry to the Holy Spirit for blessing and a visionary life. The song \'Cory Lee\' has surprise ending, just as the parable of the Good Samaritan did. \'Cory Lee\' is about a man, Cory, who is in trouble: he\'s been beaten up and is dying. He desperately needs help. But who will help him? As you listen to this song, we some real heros emerge. Gracias, Lord! One of the greatest gifts we have to offer to God is our sincere, truthful, and faithful worship. \'O Lord, Receive Our Gift of Worship\' rejoices that we can give this gift. WWJD? He\'d love us in all of the ways this song talks about! Thanks For Listening! I appreciate your interest, and invite you to respond to me with a critique of the songs on this CD.
