Where the Water Is Most Blue
I am a, middle-of-the-pack, baby boomer born and raised in a suburb just north of Detroit. My heritage is from northern Alabama, for many generations. My influences are gospel, country, blues, folk, jazz, pop. I like talking about everyday things in my songs: food, cars, houses, of course romance. I like using whimsy in songs that convey metaphors for my life experiences and lessons. I've been writing since I was fourteen, and am a very good writer of lyrics and melodies. Two of my tracks on this CD have been featured on NPRs, 'Car Talk'. Currently, I am writing more than ever. This CD features songs from the '80s, as well as the late '90s, right up until recording. I believe in simple arrangments and recording methods. I like to whistle on an occcasional tune. I am very big on melody, which draws me to writing songs equally with lyric writing. I am prolific, and unafraid to broach topics other writers might avoid. This CD jacket is a tri-fold, with all the lyrics. The cover and tray photo were taken by Nick Wright, a well know photographer in both the music business, and car collecting circuit. The story about this whole recording coming together is quite amazing unto itself. There is a limited number of this CD, meaning it will not be available once these are gone. Hope you enjoy the songs. Ron, Bow-egged Songster, ASCAP.
