Hebrew in Song
"HEBREW IN SONG" is a collection of 21 original songs for children composed by Ronit Ben-Arie. Ronit is a Hebrew teacher, Composer and Expressive Arts therapist, who specializes in teaching Hebrew through the Arts. These songs are in Hebrew and English and introduce children to simple Hebrew words and phrases as a way to teach Hebrew vocabulary and grammar as well as provide information about Jewish celebrations and customs and the Jewish year. Topics include Shabbat and holidays, custom greetings and activity directions, fruit, vegetables, colors, seasons, clothing, and objects. RONIT BEN-ARIE,(M.A) is an educator, Teachers' teacher, presenter and speaker. Ronit holds BA in Special Education and Creative Arts, Senior Teacher Certificate, and MA in Expressive Arts Therapies. She is a former army officer in Israel, award winning composer in America, Expressive Arts Therapist and a teachers' advocate. Ronit developed a Kindergarten curriculum which teaches Hebrew through Music, Movement,Drama, Art, and games. This curriculum serves both Solomon Schechter Schools in the Metropolitan of Chicago. The curriculum has been used already for thirteen years. Ronit teaches Kindergarten in both schools. She is also the composer of 'More Hebrew in Song' and the author of 'Routine of Hebrew'(a recorded Workshop for teachers and parents).
