All in the Family
Some 20 years ago I was fortunate to have such groups as The Rex Nelon Singers, The Dixie Echoes, The Dixie Melody Boys, The Johnny Cook Trio, among several other groups across the nation to record some songs I had written. What a joy it was to share the songs that the Lord had helped me write with so many wonderful people. One of my long time goals has always been to do an album with ALL songs written by myself, something to leave for my blood family and my Christian family. 20 years later I have been able to accomplish just that on this album, "All In The Family." Most of the songs have been taken out of my "songwriting closet" of many years past, brushed off and brushed up a little and presented on this album. "He Washed the Stains Away" is one of my newest that I had written about 3 years ago. The song has since been recorded by a great Southern Gospel quartet out of Corsicana, TX by the name of Southern Joy Quartet. They really do the song great on their new album that is suppose to be out sometime in January 2009. If you get the chance, you've got to get their new album! Since the production of my new album, I have started a new group by the name of "Victorious" here in Garland, TX and have started writing songs again. After such a long hiatus in my song writing, the Lord has impressed me that it's never time to retire, but we must REFIRE and continue to use any abilities or talents for His glory until He comes or we should go by the way of the grave. Gene Autry sang a song a long, long time ago titled "Back In The Saddle Again." Well, that's exactly what's happened to me! I'm back doing what God has called me and enabled me to do for His Kingdom, and I am so honored to do so with much humility and thankfulness to Him. I hope you are blessed by some song on the album, because if you are not, then it's just another album and certainly not what it was intended for. Should the Lord tarry, look for my next album with some more new stuff with our new group, "Victorious," prayerfully in the next year. In His Service, Ronnie D. Eldridge.
