You Brought Me
Biography Reverend Roosevelt Gibson Music is my passion. These are the words behind his work. As he reflects, his first singing experience started in his first grade classroom while attending Sharkey County Elementary Training School... He sang in the local High School Choir and later sang in the College Choir. As a child, his first instrument of interest was the guitar. After having had the opportunity to take guitar lessons he began to play casually as he appeared solo with his guitar in various churches. It is all about Jesus and winning souls he says, I use my guitar and songs to do it. Several years ago, he began training others in the field of soul winning and evangelism. With the message in his music, his long awaited November 2006 debut CD release entitled, You Brought Me, consists of 11 songs and 1 poem about a lovely mother. The project includes six originals, which arise out of a desire to evangelize, telling others about Jesus Christ. The title song, You Brought Me is a song of his life's testimony. It is an expression of God's faithfulness in his personal life. The song entitled, Do You Believe can easily be considered as a ''Heart Checker'' song. It targets the question to even those who have already confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior asking, do you believe? Reverend Gibson's life shows evidence that the number one goal and desire of his life is to point others to Jesus Christ. Reverend Gibson is a husband and father of three. He gives special thanks to his family for their continued patience and tolerance and support of his ministry goals. Currently Reverend Gibson is pursuing a Spiritual Formation and Discipleship Degree at Moody Bible Institute.
