Sciatic was conceived not too long ago when Matt Watson and Kyle Herris were trying to figure out what they wanted to do band-wise. Something heavy was bubbling under the surface, they just needed to find the right musicians to help create it. The first in line was long time friend Aaron Belcher on Bass. Kyle and Matt had both played in a previous band with Aaron, so the chemistry was there. Next up was Ray Herrlein on percussion. This presented something different to the music and gave it an incredible energy that had been missing in the previous projects they had all worked on. The four of them started working right away, and in just a few months they had already built themselves a good size library of material. The question of vocals was still hanging over their heads at this point since Kyle was playing guitar. They tried out a handful of possibilities but none of them really seemed to be what they hearing in their heads. Then long time friend Randy Elliot (vocals/guitar for Fletcher Bridge) offered his help so Kyle was able to move his focus to vocals. After this addition everything started to fall into place. The band has now finished work on their debut album "sorrows seen" and is currently playing around the east coast.
