Here are Scott's comments on his new Christmas CD 'Bethlehem': I had a lot of fun creating fresh arrangements of JOY TO THE WORLD, WHAT CHILD IS THIS and SILENT NIGHT. What's the point of doing a familiar song if it sounds just like everyone else's version? I wrote BETHLEHEM with Randy Thomas ('Butterfly Kisses') and Ben Bauman a couple of years ago. I love the vivid imagery and the slightly middle-eastern melodic touches. Definitely not your typical Christmas tune... I've always loved ANTHEM FOR CHRISTMAS ... It was on Michael W. Smith's first Christmas record. I gave it a few tweaks to make it more of a 'pop anthem'... The album closes with REMEMBER BETHLEHEM, which connects the dots from the manger to the cross.
