Songs for the Ages
'Songs for the Ages' is the first project from Christian Saxophonist Scott Snyder from Cincinnati, Ohio. Scott is a worship leader, professional sax player, Bible teacher, and elder in his church. He has a passion for the unity of the body of Christ, and has organized worship leading groups from across the various ethnic and denominational settings in the region. His 20 years in the retail music business has linked him with many musicians. His recent activities have included the formation of a 'big saxophone praise band' of 10 saxes with brass and rhythm, concerts at several churches in the midwest, and a performance on the 'Bobby Jones Gospel' artist showcase in Cincinnati. 'Songs for the Ages' is a collection of classic hymns and contemporary choruses blended together to celebrate praise and worship music across the generations. The project is a mixture of music styles... some jazz, some traditional gospel, a little pop, a touch of classical, and a whole lot of soul! The lush sound of the entire family of saxophones is utilized as Scott pays tribute to hymn writers and contemporary Christian artists. 'Praise the Lord with timbrel, harp, lyre, and lots of saxophones!'
