Product Notes

Gemini. In March 2008 I picked up my guitar and started to play. I did not stop for the next 3 months. A few keen caring people dropped in to give me encouragement,to add an idea, a flavour and the odd flare to the music. Some of these dear people are credited as musicians. With hand on heart, James stood by me and gave me the most courage to record the next song. By May 2008, Gemini was born. Gemini: For Geminis this is an easy song to understand. It is the raw conflict that runs through every decision we make. Some wrong, some embarrassing, all to be lived with. We are not hypocrites, far from it. We just suffer in silence. Give the Lady a seat: Expresses the frustration of using public transport. Paying dearly to sit on some dirty seat, or beg some idiot to drop his feet, or let a lady pass. It is not a matter of education. It is a case of good manners. Hum this tune as you witness some well to do intellectual's putrid feet perched high on public seats. Bog cotton: Gives an insight into the loss of the daily company two beautiful, busy, boisterous, amorous little girls who have dominated my life for over 13 years. Ana and Sol, my daughters. Great singers and musicians in their own right. Fishing: This is a carefree song of a youth spent by the shores of many a lake catching perch or a cold. The thrill of it all. Lambs: I only ever heard this song sung by women (The Johnstons and Emy Lou Harris). Maybe no man could bring himself to sing this awful song. Mé féin: Came to life in my garden one Sunday morning as I watched the sun rise over the quite of London. I had it recorded by the dregs of a noisy sunset. It pays tribute to a few unsung heroes. Piranha: Grew out of Gemini. It has typical Gemini views. High Heel Lady: The dear, dear lady in this song puts the world to shame when it comes to style. Dream on: like the song says, bring on the next album.
