The Seamus: An intrepid milkshake of 70's art rock, psychedelia and brit pop influences. Bio: The Seamus started in 2003 with Octavio Zarate (lead guitar), Paco Aguayo (guitar and lyrics) and Juan Aldama (bass) and Jorge Aguilar (drums). The band started playing in small venues gaining recognition and fans with his music and live visuals proposal. With the coming of their first record, the band have played in several festivals and opening to international artists like Juana Molina, The Stills, The Whitest Boy Alive and Travis. The Album. "Taste The Colours" the debut LP from The Seamus opens with the epic Syd Barret Esque "No One's Land" whose intriguing intro buids up in to a heroic hymn that makes the perfect beginning for the record. "Sunny Day" follows and shows the band´s fondness for The Beatles melodies with a surprising ending. Contrast is a concept present in all the record, following "The Arrival" a story about self consciousness comes ¨With Eyes Closed" a song with acoustic guitars, distortion and rhythm machines that exudates the anguish of it´s lyrics. "Baby Dance" reveals more about the musical taste of the band, opening with a jazzy introduction that prepares the scene for a story about crime, sex and deception. "Next Station" (the longest track in the record 7:34) comes as the perfect ending track of the whole journey, gentle washy guitars, synths and reverb blends softly with a voice that sings of loss and hope closing with a cinematic instrumental ending.
