Product Notes

Sevendaze are of that rare breed of musicians that don't change their tunes with the times, nor do they kowtow to current musical trends. Rather, they play their brand of all-American pop-rock, and do it with a fervor and vengeance unmatched by any of their contemporaries. It is for this reason that they, unlike many of the New York scene's other big-talking wannabes, has-beens, and never-weres, are genuinely causing a stir in the so-called 'big leagues' of the music industry. Needless to say, In the Womb, their debut album, is only intensifying that buzz. In the Womb succeeds in capturing Sevendaze's raw, unbridled passion in their live performances, and songs like 'Never Said,' 'Lizzie,' and 'The Answer,' are but three examples of the subtle nuances and broad range of lead singer and principal songwriter Ed Szigethy's Bon Jovi-esque vocals. It is these vocals, combined with a Matchbox Twenty-esque songwriting knack, and lead guitarist Adam Auslander's howling riffs, that make Sevendaze destined for the top of the Billboard charts. Of course, if I had to have my pick of the litter, the signature song 'Better Life' would be the first out of the gate. -- xx bg xx.
