Pieces of Me
Add 21-year old Shanna Roebel to the list of girls in 2008 cranking out impressive debut CDs. Born and raised on country music, a teenaged Shanna nonetheless found herself drawn to the sultry beats and steamy excitement of urban-based soul and hip-hop. Torn between her country roots and her passion for pop, she soon came to her senses and realized she could have it all by just being herself and not worrying about musical categories. Aided by producer Roger Klug, Pieces Of Me showcases Shanna's soulful voice up close and personal: check out her radical take on Build Me Up Buttercup, her cool delivery and smooth-as-silk harmonies on Dreamlover, and the cinematic stadium-rock power of Stay. Possessing a voice of melancholy longing coupled with a radiant confidence, Shanna Roebel's listener-friendly mix of nostalgic pop, R & B and country is firmly entrenched in today's sound. Shanna is currently working on a collection of original songs.
