Shircago is a high-octane, contemporary co-ed Jewish a cappella ensemble that has evolved into Chicago's premier Jewish a cappella ensemble. Dr. Hal Lewis, Dean of Public Programming at Spertus Institute, which hosted Shircago for a concert/Q&A session, had the following to say in a thank-you letter: 'Dear Loren: Just a brief note to express my gratitude and appreciation to you and your colleagues for the fabulous performance you put on recently at Spertus. It is not an exaggeration to say that Shircago captivated our audience. The quality of your performance, including your original arrangements, and the range of Jewish music you presented made for a truly outstanding afternoon. I appreciate particularly the group's willingness to answer questions about your experience with, and love of, Jewish music. I look forward to hearing great things about Shircago in the future. Please let me know if I can be of any assistance. Best wishes to all. Sincerely, Dr. Hal M. Lewis Dean of Public Programming'
