Her students range in age from three to adult and many begin playing for area churches when they are as young as six. Some Music Ministry students have become great preachers, musicians, singers, actors, actresses and teachers Ms. Ables travels with her group The Joy Gospel Singers, consisting of Patricia Ables, Sanada McFall, Jeanette Harrison and her musicians, who are graduates of the Shirley Ables Music Ministry. Her latest recording 'Just Keep On Prayin' exemplifies the message Ms Ables tries to deliver as she spreads the Good News through song. Ms Ables always says, 'To the glory of God I give my heart, my soul, my mind and my life, with God's blessing and your prayers, our ministry will touch and deliver souls from the yoke of bondage.'
