At first listen, Shotgun Jenny might seem like just another chump in the already crowded arena of pop punk, but the instant replay shows a style that transcends pop punk venturing into other arenas like indie rock, emo, and even heavy metal. Shotgun Jenny's musical force is propelled by a killer combination of ability and taste. The band is made up of three experienced connoisseurs of rock. On drums is David Royer who was only recently recruited to the band but has added incredible power and depth to SJ's sound and a killer practice space. On bass/backing vocals is Brady Ritter who came onto the scene and silenced all critics with his hard- hitting bass lines and powerful vocals. Finally, on guitar/lead vocals is Tripp Kirby who can simultaneously break hearts, necks, and strings with creatively forceful playing and singing. This trio of titans has been knocking heads in the Kansas City area for over a year using an arsenal of endearing originals, memorable covers and on stage moves impossible to be ignored. In their wake lies an impressive 8-song EP, local radio airplay, and a long list of shows including well known venues like Niener's Rock Club and The Bone. Eyes fixed forward, Shotgun Jenny is ready to work harder than ever to win the world over one fan at a time. It is safe to say that great things can be expected from this young unstoppable force.
