Silent Mind comes to life with this line up: Jamie Bright, on Guitar/Vocals was born into an incredibly musical household. His father was a music producer in the 60's and 70's working with musical acts such as Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsies, Carlos Santana, John McLaughlin, and even early work with Billy Joel. Growing up in a household with records lining the walls, Jamie's learned the art of songwriting and production from the greats. At the ripe age of 21, Jamie was hired to tour with a Lava Records recording artist as Lead Guitarist and Background Vocalist. Having seen the potential of the music business Jamie began his journey to become a major competitor in the industry. John Rizzo on Bass/Vocals has been playing multiple instruments since he was a young boy. John's musical family gave him the opportunity to begin performing in his father and grandfathers wedding band. Learning an endless number of songs John quickly became a virtuoso Bassist giving him the opportunity to perform with numerous musical groups growing up. His contribution to Silent Mind is evident in every song and on stage with his crazy stage antics. Jay Baskowski on Drums is a fierce energy behind the kit and his instinctive groove makes him the ultimate backbone of the group. Also born into a musical family, being the son of a drummer, Jay has been banging away since diapers and the Yellow Pages supported him on the drum throne. The energy of this tight trio matches that of their influences including the Foo Fighters, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, and Led Zeppelin to create a passionate and truly entertaining show. Armed with a sincerity and commitment to the energy and truth within their music, these are the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and feel of SILENT MIND. Silent Mind has been the alias of Songwriter Jamie Bright since 2005. In search of a home for his music with hopes of making it the most energetic, electric rock act of the 21st century, Jamie left the east coast for Los Angeles. After realizing at that time this was not the place he needed to be, he took a chance and bought a one-way ticket to London, England. With a suitcase and his acoustic guitar, Jamie hoped to take his music internationally to perfect his sound and songs. After 5 months in England fine-tuning his craft, Jamie recorded an acoustic album on his laptop computer. To support the album and take the next step Jamie set up a European and American tour for 'Silent Mind'. Playing solo acoustic was purely a way for Jamie to expose his music to the public, and try to find musicians who believed in his music as much as he did. Silent Mind played over 100 shows across Europe and 35 states in the US in just 6 Months. After touring, Jamie decided to settle in Burlington, VT. Performing as a full band for only 1 year, Silent Mind is making their mark on Burlington. Known as Burlington's most strongly advertised band Silent Mind has already performed at very reputable shows. Securing a summer residency at Nectars, Burlington's most popular music venue, they hope to create a straight-ahead rock scene in the land of Jam Bands. They also took to the stage at the famed Chew Chew festival. With over 1,000 people in attendance, this Burlington waterfront festival sponsored by The Buzz, FM 99.9 made Silent Mind's fan base grow faster than ever. Now touring as much as possible Silent Mind is dedicated to building an army of fans all over the world.
