Formed in 2000, The Silent Type spent the better part of 2002 recording their first full length album. Fed up with most music both commercial and independent and longing for the rawness of The Stooges, but the sweetness of U2, the group decided that music would be better handled by those with real intentions rather than those with plastic hearts. With their inappropriately loud and highly energetic live shows, The Silent Type has managed to anger club managers and damage equipment all for the sake of giving the audience their monies' worth. This has also been the ruling principle for their songwriting. Don't give the people what they want, give them what they're due.
