You Go Your Wayand I'll Go Mine
Sketch Middle, lifelong friends from Chicago's western suburbs, formed in the winter of 1997. While most 17 year olds were studying for finals and going to football practice, these fine young gentlemen were playing 21+ shows in Chicago's finest clubs and colleges all across the Midwest. In 1999 the rock trio released the full length underground gem 'Time Capsule.' The album was produced by The Shoes very own Jeff Murphy. (Material Issue) The record sold over 2500 copies and was in rotation at many Top 40 stations across the country. The bands music was featured on The Disney Channel, WXRT and ESPN Radio 1000 in Chicago. After a developmental deal fell through that would have moved the Chicagoans to London, England in 2001, they were discovered by Gin Blossoms guitarist Jesse Valenzuela. The Grammy nominated artist sent the material to veteran producer Michael Vail Blum (Madonna, Pink Floyd, Goo Goo Dolls) and the guys spent a major portion of 2004 going between Los Angeles and Chicago working out pre-production arrangements. In the summer of 2005 Sketch Middle was finally ready to show the world what they've been up to the last few years. 13 songs of straight up rock & roll. The new full length has a little something for everyone. It offers a hard-modern-rock style but has some less aggressive alternative country songs as well. You can catch the hard partying trio this summer on tour with themselves serving as Ted Ansani's back up band and hard partying friends Bound to Change. Sketch Middle has performed with national acts such as The Psychedelic Furs, Midtown Swizzle Tree, Lucky Boys Confusion, Michael McDermott, Fallout Boy and Divide by Zero.
