Turn Into Vapour
Sleepless Nights formed in 2004 as a trio made up of Aaron Wallace, Jeff Pineau and Mary Cobham. Playing rare shows around their hometown of Halifax, NS the group developed a mystique over the next year as they grew into their current fighting weight. The band's line-up has now stretched to include Wallace (vocals, guitar), Pineau (bass, keys), Andrew Sisk (guitar, drums, vocals), Matt MacDonald (keys, guitar, vocals), Trevor Murphy (bass) and Josh Pothier (drums). Together, they have toured relentlessly, pushing their fan-base and renown further on every trip. Turn Into Vapour is the focused result of this growth and experience. Rooted in the massive sound of the group's instrumental work, each track refocuses it's means and scope to develop a distinct identity. From 'Allyson Got Robbed' building on a dub informed bass line, to the last howling shrieks of 'Kids On Fire,' the band uses production as a vital tool in transferring their exercised live attack into the studio. The end result is a collection of songs that merge into each other through a hones intensity, while each boasting unique hooks and charms.
