'Smooth Style presents... Smooth.' Smooth is an artist of unbelievable talent. He has a flow that rides a beat to perfection and delivers a vigorous punch to the statements that he makes in his lyrics. Smooth arrived on the Milwaukee music scene the summer of 1997. Smooth started his pursuit in a high school talent show, where he began to be recognized as a talented rapper. Smooth would take part in local festival performances ranging from Juneteenth to African World Festival. In the spring of 2001 he released his first self entitled CD 'Smooth Da Thugg.' He sold his CD out of the trunk of his car and was able to experience minor success with sales of an accumulative total of 500 units sold. This fueled Smooth's passion for his talent and he worked harder at making his dream a reality. In 2002 Smooth Da Thugg signed with a local record label (J.M.O.B. Records) and released a CD single 'U All I Want.' The song begin to pick up a buzz on the street and once again Smooth light began to shine. Unfortunately when the light began to shine for Smooth Da Thugg, issues and problems with the companies direction caused Smooth to leave the company. This resulted in Smooth pursuing his career once again on his own. In 2003 Smooth career made a turn for the good. Smooth joined together with local rap artist Promiss and Sea Note to form a group name 'Triple Threat.' As Triple Threat, Smooth and his new found partners began working with local producers to create the new sounds of 'Triple Threat.' In the fall of 2003, the group decided to continue to work together as a unit, but decided to do separate projects. A new chapter in Smooth's career started. The group was introduced to Michael Wright, Sr. (Smooth Style Entertainment). From day one, after signing to Smooth Style (artist management), they knew that their career would now have direction. Smooth began working on his new project and since has been heating up the stage from Milwaukee to Chicago in venues of 350 plus capacity. Smooth Da Thugg is currently preparing for his 3rd and new release, 'Smooth Style presents .....Smooth.'
