Like a rising Phoenix, Snap Ending is reborn from the ashes of several successful bands from New York, New Jersey and Baltimore. The explosive and raw sound produced by this Mid-Atlantic foursome is only rivaled by the shear intensity of their energetic stage performance. The combination of: a classically trained guitarist (Steve Herrera), a 'thunder-foot' drummer (Paul Mignini), another guitarist sent from space (Chris Scott) and a bassist that screams louder than a banshee (Colin Norris)...they aren't your typical 'emo-core' group. Taking their influence from so many groups throughout the past twenty years, Snap Ending has created a sound all they're own. Although they prefer not to be pigeonholed by style or genre classifications, their talented and high energy performances have garnered comparisons to bands such as: The Blood Brothers, At the Drive In, and Thursday just to name few. Not taking themselves too seriously allows them to focus on an electrifying stage show and creating a connection with their audiences most bands never achieve. Snap Ending formed in early 2004 when the primary writing team of Chris and Colin found Paul after a long and exhaustive search of drummers in the area. Two months later Steve's arrival proved to be exactly what the band needed to bring the group to it's fullest potential. They quickly began writing what was to become their first EP- 'Not Art.' Thanks to electrifying shows, the EP has been extremely well received and word of the band is quickly spreading throughout the Baltimore area and beyond. The group is hard at work on their second offering as well as gigging in the Mid-Atlantic region. Perhaps this one will be a full length LP.
