Maya has been using meditation and deep states of relaxation in her own self-healing and daily centring for 20 years. Seeing the great power and effectiveness of these states of consciousness for creating and maintaining mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being, she desired to share these techniques. In 1986, she began guiding others at her secluded cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains, VA. Since then, many have experienced the fulfilment of tapping their own inner resources for deep relaxation, self-knowledge, and personal growth through her guidance... even though they had to travel down a long and dusty back road to find her. Today, Maya lives in a city in Virginia, USA, teaching meditation as part of her work as a Holistic Natural Health Practitioner and Priestess of Nature Spirituality. Maya is also a Certified Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, and founding Priestess of the Spiral Grove, An Inter-Faith Church of Nature Spirituality. Cheryl has been performing, writing and recording music for decades. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Arts Degree in Music Education from George Mason University. She also spent several years as a Music Educator working within the Virginia public school system. Cheryl has been on a path of self exploration and healing for over 20 years, and has found meditation to be a great tool for increased emotional and spiritual well being. For many years she had difficulty calming her mind; through the use of meditation tapes, she learned how to achieve peaceful states of consciousness. In 1998, Cheryl left behind the Washington D.C. commute to settle in the middle of a 100 acres in rural Ontario, Canada. She finds it much easier to be of calm mind and creative spirit when close to nature. It was in this setting that the sounds and music for this recording were created.
