Go! Fight! Win!
Ssri is a four-piece band from Hoboken, NJ with a style that blends the music of the past three decades and has been categorized as 'power pop', 'alternative', and 'pop punk'. Their sound comes from a number of influences including pop, metal, tropical, alternative, progressive, funk, and rock. The songs are positive, melodic, dynamic, and highly energetic. They never fail to entertain a room and turn heads with their energy, catchy melodies, witty lyrics, and solid grooves. The band started in 1996 in central New Jersey as Megatone Bomb. In 2001, after touring the NY area, the band changed names as well as direction to form Ssri. Immediately after the name change, Ssri released a four song EP titled 'Happy For Now' and hit the clubs and bars. After the great success of this EP, the band went back into the studio to record their full-length album titled 'Go! Fight! Win!,' with producer Chris Badami, whose credits include many Drive-Thru Records releases. This CD has been a smash hit, thanks in part to the current radio single Bare Ass Naked, and has been selling out at shows. The band is posed to book a tour to support the CD in the coming months. Ssri's upbeat, energetic musical assault has rocked venues ranging from clubs and bars to all-age halls and colleges. The song topics include sex, love, relationships, being remembered, and life in general.
