SONG DESCRIPTIONS: 1.) 'Car Wash' by Berlina, is a re-make of the classic soul favorite. Producer Dwight Thompson introduces new arrangemental elements, yet retains the flavor of the original version. Berlina's powerful vocals will please the most discriminating of listeners. The #1 Dance Record in Germany, Berlina's 'Car Wash' remains a dance staple in clubs across Europe. 2.) 'See You When I Get There' is singer Michael Robinsons follow-up to 'What's Going On'. In 'See You When I Get There' Michael once again makes a soul classic his own. 'See You When I Get There' is Michael's tribute to the legendary Lou Rawls and the influence he had in Michaels career. Great for listening, dancing or being with the one you love. 3.) 'HOW WE PARTY' draws from the rhythmic and melodic tradition of r&b, disco and hip hop. World City Music artists, Done Deal, have taken the Minneapolis sound to the next level. With it's catchy hook and euro jack baseline, 'How We Party' has the makings of a dance classic. 4.) "Keep On Pushing" by Gwen Matthews is a positive message to those of us working to realize our dreams and ambitions, or simply struggling to survive. Gwen's message in "Keep On Pushing". With a strong Euro-funk groove and background vocals by The Steeles, "Keep On Pushing" never stalls. Gwen Matthews, has recorded with many prominent producers including Kenny Rogers, Stevie Wonder, Phillip Bailey, Jennifer Holiday, Dwight Thompson and Stanley Turrentine. 5.) 'JOHNNY ANGEL' the Euro-Pop cover of the Shelley Fabares classic, is performed by Pascuale Sommers. Pascúale was 'Miss Holland' in 1983 and recorded 'Johnny Angel' after returning from the Miss Universe Pageant. Recorded in the legendary SoundPush Recording Studios in Holland, Pascúale's singing is reminiscent of the teenage girl singers of the fifties. The texture of her voice is amazingly similar to that of Shelley Fabares. 'JOHNNY ANGEL' is easy listening yet danceable. 6.) 'Darlin' Darlin' by Done Deal is a funk hip-hop gem. Darlin' Darlin's sing-a-long hookline and distinct rhythm arrangement is further evidence of Done Deal's musicianship and songwriting skill. Minneapolis is known for Jimmy Jam and Terrry Lewis, Prince, Boys To Men, Roger and now Done Deal. 7.) 'DA DOO DA' by Tekbot is a techno-funk instrumental track, sound track, club track, radio track, aerobic track, etc.. 8.) 'Cutie Pie Party' by The D.D Crew is a slow, funky jam that's part instrumental, part rap including vocal parts. 9.) 'IMAGE NATION'S euro-smooth, instrumental groove, was a popular sound in the eighties. A precursor of today's smooth jazz sound, THE WCM ORCHESTRA played a fusion of disco, r&b, and jazz.. 'IMAGE NATION' reflects a period of cool clothes, cool vibes and cooler people. 10.) 'HANDY MAN' by Dwight Thompson is a soulful renditon of the James Taylor classic. Dwight's rich, smooth voice radiates the warm, sincere nature of his personality. His direct, unpretentious style evokes memories of past soul singers like Floyd Price, Brook Benton and Lionel Richie.
