Brandon Aguirre aka Steddy always had a hand born to write. From elementary days of writing short stories that gained serious attention of his parents among others, he knew whatever he did in life- it would deal with writing. Fast forward 1999, Brandon began writing poetry as a release from the tribulations of life and later started forming them into bars of verses upon meeting a friend that rapped. The two clicked and immediately began writing songs and recording them with a boom box and a tape recorder (due to their lack of funds) But a fall out soon occurred and Brandon was left only to begin his journey as a solo artist. Producer after producer only gave Brandon more false hopes of their abilities to assist him in his journey. Until early in 2004 did he finally meet someone that appreciated his skills and offered a helping hand. James Webb actually graduated from the same high school as Brandon and the two knew of each other prior to their collaboration in music. They started working on Steddy's first album, creating a demo's worth of material in a short amount of time. They accomplished much success with radio play and gained many anxious listeners. Almost 4 years went into the project when finally, Steddy felt he had an album worth releasing to the public. Road Work was exactly that for the 22-year old MC. A long winding road, sometimes leading off in wrong directions only to be put right back on track. Armed with 17 tracks, guest rappers, vocalists, producers and his laid back smooth delivery, Road Work is an audio depiction of Steddy's life. This is only the beginning for Steddy and his career in music. Already working on his next release, Steddy is building his arsenal of studio equipment and programs to ensure there is no "middle man" or someone he has to depend on. As a self efficient artist with a "do it yourself" attitude, Steddy's plans for the future are clear. Are you coming along for the ride?
