Small town, big dreams... Born and raised in Ada, Oklahoma, Stephanie Rhynes grew up singing in church, learning and listening to her mother harmonize many, many Sundays. Timid and shy, with a soft, quiet voice to match, she would not open up her vocal abilities until tryouts for her junior high school musical. She received a small part, but ended up with a whole lot more... A few close girlfriends she met on the community acting stage got together to sing at various local events. When they heard her sing at the tryouts, they offered her to join the group, and she jumped at the chance. However, these girls were well rehearsed on how to entertain an audience from many years of dance and voice lessons. Stephanie had a lot to learn. Overcoming stage fright, and finding her place would take a long time, but the bumpy, winding road would teach her great things along the way. When the group went their separate ways to college, the backup singer never dreamed of going solo. Her passion for harmony convinced her that was all she was destined for... But then she transferred to the University of Oklahoma to learn to fly airplanes, and finally set out to see the world. It wasn't until her roommate saw an ad in the paper searching for a singer/songwriter that her music dream reawakened. Charlie Rayl, a well-known local musician, challenged Stephanie to write and create her own sound. The project soon became her outlet during the trials she faced. Flying, faith, and relationships would help her cultivate each song, exploring different lyrical insights. Now, with her first album in hand, the anxious singer is ready to make her mark on the musical scene. Her drive and passion is to bring a smile to all who hear every sweet melody, and inspire the world with each lovely line. So take a moment, relax, and listen to the revealing and heartfelt words of an unsure, but optimistic young woman...
