I Don't Mind
Still is the power-pop/rock-pop creative focus of Alaskan-born and Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Wade Biery, and 'I don't mind' is the second CD released under the 'Still' name. With guitar-based pop leanings similar to 'XTC' or 'Del Amitri' meshed with rock's energy and a light dusting of country-pop added to the mix, Still's music is engaging from the very first listen, and refreshing in it's originality and depth. 'I don't mind' has generated considerable interest and anticipation in listeners familiar with Still, they are not dissappointed! 'I honestly think this CD (I don't mind) has the potential to be the best selling CD of this year!' - (Michael Yongue - the 'Michael Yongue Show'). Still's journey began with the 1998 release of the debut CD 'The Distance'. Wade wrote and produced 'The Distance', playing nearly every instrument on the CD and the vocals, then put together a group of players for the 'band' live shows........ After the release of 'The Distance', Wade headed out on the road to to promote the CD in many, many solo shows and tours throughout the Western US. Along the way he was able to gather quite a bit of radio airplay along the West Coast and in Alaska, many positive and enthusiastic reviews, airplay on Ellen K's nationally syndicated radio program, television airplay in Southern California, sell a ton of CD's, and reach # 4 in GarageBand.com's $250,000 band contest. In the fall of 1999 Wade returned to the studio to record the new CD 'I don't mind' taking on the same duties as he did with the making of 'The Distance'. Top Los Angeles-based studio and touring musicians contributed their skills as well, bringing an extra depth to the songs. In the past Wade has had the good fortune to perform with many excellent performers in the music business ranging from Leanne Rimes and Carlene Carter to Dillon O'Brian, Christopher Cross, Joe Cocker, The Turtles, Latin-Rock superstar Miguel Mateos and many more, traveling to many parts of the globe in the process. Currently Wade is writing songs for his next 'Still' release, as well as preparing an acoustic-version CD of some of his older tunes and adding in some new ones! He is also producing another artist's CD, which will be released summer 2005.
