In the beginning... there was Mike and Jeff. Two guys from Ft. Thomas, Kentucky playing as an acoustic duo performing classic rock covers. Their love of writing original music was being funded by this duo known simply as 'Jeff and Mike.' Then in March of 1999, after extensive begging, they had their first rehearsal with a drummer... and there was Chris. Hailing from a fairly punk rock backround, he found a way to still dye his hair yet become a more refined drummer. After spending the summer writing original music, it was time for Chris to go into his senior year at Thomas More College. It was at Thomas More that Chris' long-haired rock and roll friend, Marc, after careful consideration, accepted the band's offer to play bass. Being as Marc was a blues guitarist of ten years, his dedication and love of music has made him one of the most solid bass players that anyone in the band has ever played with. Marc comes from Cincinnati, but the KY boys accepted him with open arms anyways being as he had the proper amount of redneck-dom. In Summary: - You have a conservative guitarist with tasteful style whose goal is to play not necessarily what's impressive, but what fits. - A Singer/Rhythm guitarist with a sweet, melodic voice fueled by a knack for writing intelligent lyrics in an extraordinarily unique manner. - A blues guitarist-turned-bassist who makes Stonewater's rhythm section the powerful force that it is today. - A punk rock, ska drummer gone soft (but not too soft). All of this mixed together and you have a new style of music - 'Liquid Rock' or... STONEWATER.
