Sunroom is an acoustic group from the outer boroughs of New York City. They play 'folksicana': simple, unpolished, and alive music with introspective and soulful lyrics. Sunroom - their debut self-titled EP - is a collection of songs recorded live one hot June weekend in an East Village Apartment. With a minimalistic and performance-based production, each Sunroom song is a series of moments captured in time. Remarkably, their old-fashioned 'one-take' approach to recording makes Sunroom's music a refreshing change of pace. The absence of slick studio Polish and wizardry only serves to bring an authenticity, immediateness, and intimacy to each tune, making it all the easier to break your heart ('Down Came the 4th Wall'), question your morals ('How You Look At It') and move forward ('Afraid of the Moon'). There is a world outside and Sunroom invites you in. Log in to write a review!
