Since our beginnings as a Civil War camp band, Celtic music has become an increasingly important part of our repertoire and our performances. Irish music was an important part of Nineteenth Century America and the Civil War. So, for us as Civil War re-enactors and living historians, we decided it was time for us to record a few of our favorite tunes. While most of the tunes are traditional Irish music, we decided to include a couple tunes by a contemporary song writer from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Jerry Holland. As with our previous CD, this is not a heavily engineered recording but presents the band as we sound when you come to hear us perform. We hope you enjoy Celtic Travellers.
