Suzanne Paschall, has been a musician and performer her entire life, playing cello, viola, violin, piano and organ. She has performed as a solo pianist, musical and dramatic theatre actor, and backup and solo musician and singer in several Saskatoon area bands. She writes songs in the pop, blues, jazz and torch genres, and has recently begun a collaboration with talented Winnipeg musician/arranger Tommy Dahl. Her songs have been recorded to date on two album projects, both by Chantal Chamberland (jazz) of Montreal. Both songs, Just the Way (2002 - This is Our Time) and Romance Me (2003-Serendipity Street) are also on Suzanne's just-released first full-length album, Life Sentences. Originally from the USA, Suzanne's roots are in a blend of the Big Band era, rhythm and blues and pop music. As a keyboard player she was influenced by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel and Elton John. Singers who touched her were Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, the great Billie Holliday and contemporary artists like Jann Arden, Eva Cassidy and Sade.
