'Upload' is Sven-Erik Seaholm's first album of new material since 1997's acclaimed 'Passion's Little Plaything'. 'We're all more than a little excited' says Seaholm, speaking not only for himself, but the 22 other musicians who make appearances on the CD. 'There was a concerted effort to make something really special. Not just a collection of songs, but a definitive representation of how much we love music. I like to call the result 'music that loves you back'.' Along with his company Kitsch & Sync Production, Seaholm may be known to many primarily as a first-rate record producer, having crafted popular releases from Via Satellite, Waterline Drift, Goodbye Blue Monday, Low Cloud Cover, Buddy Blue, Romy Kaye, Judy Henske and others. 'That's pretty much why it took so long' he explains, 'I was recording other projects constantly, so I had to work around everyone else's schedule. But (co-producers) Drew Andrews and Dylan Ankney helped to give me the perspective required to produce myself.' Upload's 14 songs cut an impressive swath through pop's rich tapestry, combining elements of rock, funk, folk and psychedelia through clever usage of modern and vintage instrumentation, resulting in a shining example of what has been termed his 'wide-screen pop' (Karla Peterson, San Diego Union-Tribune).
