Hate 2 Luv Me
Who is Swanny Riverz? The name alone is intriguing in a world of rappers who have left creative guises to use their first name or fashion their personas after fictional movie gangsters. But, Swanny Riverz, the name is a mere glimpse into the emcee who is his own man, a self styled rapper who defies categorization. Hailing from the bricks of New Jersey, Swan is no east coast emcee and by the same token he is a no coast emcee, but instead an honest emcee, with a style that has been created out of his many places of residence, Baltimore/ Atlanta/Califomia/Delaware/Ohio. Currently residing in Delaware, Swan came to attention of TDM RECORDS while freestyling on the street on a challenge from label CEO Trill. It was hard for anyone to believe that the kid with the thick glasses and work clothes on could do more than provide a good laugh, but Swan can change that perception in a matter of a few bars. His delivery was uniquely perfect and confident sliding lines together in a style that was nothing close to the typical gun clap rapper. Even more impressive is Swanny's ability to write an infectious hook evident in the singles Patty Cake, Feel Me, and Choices, all displaying Swan's understanding of what a fan wants to hear. Swanny's writing exudes an aura of fun and good times. This would leave many to ask is he pop? The answer is HELL NO! Like many of his peers he grew up in the streets having seen it all and done it all, but preferring to touch on the street without dwelling on the streets. TDM knew they had something special and signed Swan to a deal. But even as Swan began to realize a life long dream, he knew all the pieces of the puzzle weren't in place... He needed beats and the stars came into alignment when on a whim TDM & Swan met Greg Bang.!t did not take them long to convince Greg that Swan was that next shit, and the producer/engineer and Swan began to craft Swan's first solo album. Swan learned that his team, his talent and his music would make people love him or hate him... and like the title of his album, a lot of people would hate to love him.
