What Shall We Do Today?
I am part of a collective of six writers. So far, we are Sonoma County, California's best kept secret, although Ian Anderson almost gave us a heart attack when he called last fall to tell us the music we sent 'touched him' (yes, he actually listens to stuff by unknowns, so send yours in!). Two of the songs he liked are on this CD - 'Warmth of a Child,' and 'Lady.' Take a listen. The other two are on a previous CD called, 'Turtle,' and since we are a bit slow on the marketing end and lightening fast with the producing, you may not see that CD online unless this one goes somewhere. 'What Shall We Do Today' is a collection of original and traditional songs geared toward youngsters, inner children, and inner adults. The songs follow the course of the day, starting with a sunrise song, followed by play songs, progressing near the end to an excellent bathtime song written by Holly when she was fourteen, and finally ending with bedtime lullabyes. I would direct you to a track but it would be biased to my ears; I suggest you take a random listen to the clips to see if the style matches your taste. Note: the horn on the first track, 'Blue and Magenta,' is supposed to be a rooster, so make sure to crow like Peter Pan when you hear it!
