Tap Street was born as a passion and love for music. In the mid-90's I went to a Nashville Songwriter's meeting with a friend who had begun to write songs. I had a couple of instrumental solos, but had not written a song with lyrics and didn't think I could. When it came time to cri- tique songs I let them hear one of my instrumentals. A man there was overly critical, I thought. He made me so mad I wrote my first song with lyrics, 'Tap Street'. That became the name of the band. And that is what I want the music to do, make people tap their feet, snap their fingers, or move them in some way. Music is an expression, a communication, from the heart of the artist. This is my/our expression to you. Since that time I have written over 80 songs. I have written two songs into my ninth CD. 'Tap Street' is the first CD I am able to afford to record. So, if you like this there is more to come, hopefully, somewhere down the road. I enjoy several genres of music, rock, blues, country, gospel, classical, and I write different kinds. There have been several artists that have influenced me, but I don't think I/we sound like them. John Fogerty, older Van Halen, and White Lion, just to name a few. We hope you enjoy the music. Thanks for listening! Larry Street songwriter/guitarist.
